Clearing Step 1

Two conditions, both tracked on the progress page: every card at Guru or above, and a pass on the reading test. The test is 24 words chosen to hit every sound once. You read each aloud, then listen and grade yourself. 21 out of 24 passes.

Step 2 is not built yet and that is deliberate. It will be the first words, WaniKani-style: mnemonics, the same spaced repetition, small batches, in an order that makes the grammar of Step 3 free. It opens when this checkpoint is cleared and not before.
